FAQ

Beforeyou board.

Still stuck? The night desk answers until 02:00, every night a train runs.

Do I share my cabin with strangers?

Only in a couchette, and only with up to three other riders, or with your own group if you book every berth. Seats are in an open carriage. A private sleeper is yours alone and locks from the inside.

Why is the fifth night in a hotel?

Because the line ends in Budapest. Night 5 is a spa hotel on the Pest side, with breakfast and a thermal-bath pass included in every cabin price.

Can I start in Berlin or Vienna?

Yes. Switch cities off in the builder and the price drops by one leg each time. The shortest trip is two cities and one night train.

Where does my luggage go?

One suitcase and one small bag per person. Private sleepers have a rack for two large cases; couchettes have lockable space under the lower berth.

Is there a shower on board?

Private sleepers have their own. Seat and couchette riders get a shower pass for the lounge at every arrival station.

What if a train runs late?

We rebook the next leg and cover a hotel if you miss a connection. More than 60 minutes late and 25% of that leg comes back to your card automatically.
